About Equalstarts Tanzania

Your support empowers girls through education and opportunity across Tanzania.

What We Do

Equalstarts Tanzania is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting girls and orphans in vulnerable environments across both urban and rural regions. We strive to remove barriers to education by providing essentials such as uniforms, books, and access to supportive programs, while raising awareness about the value of education and gender equality.

Since our establishment in 2024, we've worked to defend children's right to education—especially young girls—facing challenges like poverty, early marriage, or unsafe home conditions. We are committed to empowering girls socially, economically, and politically to build a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Vision

To become a leading force in nurturing a literate, empowered, and inclusive generation of girls and children with disabilities across Tanzania.

Core Values

Why Focus on Girls?

Despite similar enrollment rates in Tanzania, girls face significant dropout risks due to early marriage, pregnancy, and poverty. We address these challenges by offering educational tools and advocacy to keep girls in school and secure a better future.

Where We Work

Our programs operate throughout both urban and rural mainland Tanzania.
